This is a planimetric map of Saint Cloud, Florida. This is a planimetric map because it specifically focuses on the horizonatal features, while ignoring the vertical features. It only shows the two dimensional information. This map was taken from http://mapquest.com.

Mental Map

This is a map of East Bohemia, used on their tourist website. It is a mental map because the various destinations are described with a mental distortion, like the dipictions of the horses, elephants, or large buildings and houses. For example, the jumping horse is used to illustrate the sport complexes in that area (according to the website this map was taken from; http://www.east-bohemia.info/.)

KML Remote Sensing

I found this image of my family's orange groves through searching "KML remote sensing" on Google. I found a fire mapping system at http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/wms.php. From there I viewed current fire weather in the United States and zoomed closer to see my family property. The KML images are updated hourly.
